The Anubis Gates is one of those books that I can say without hyperbole changed the way I look at science fiction and fantasy. It is one that I have read dozens of times and keep finding new insights.
The cast is based in Las Vegas and the show will premier in London, so odds are that I won’t be able to see it in person, but I just funded it at a level that will get me a DVD of the production.
If you like my work and you haven’t checked out Tim Powers, you should, because he taught me everything I know about world building. His work is a mix of historical fiction, fantasy, science fiction, and surrealism, and The Anubis Gates is a masterwork. The idea of it being adapted to the stage just gives me chills. I don’t ordinarily invest in crowdfunded projects, but this one I think is worth it.
