I have decided to rewrite the blurbs for my novels as sonnets. Next up:
Cannibal Hearts
Three minds, two lovers, of one accord
Still strangers, among those stranger still
Needs must take up the bone-pale sword
Against those whom would work them ill
One queen, dealt from ill-omened deck
Grown scarlet in her avarice
To sail a sunken ship does trek
Where first she tasted fortune’s kiss
A man who died in love’s embrace
Yet rose, by sorceries unknown
May yet come to avert his face
From horrors greater than his own
And who may say, who’s kin, who’s not
When blood grows thicker than the plot?
