Sunrise is another country
A place I’ve heard of, but not been
Beyond the sky, beyond the sea
Inhabited by different men

They don’t speak my language there
A dialect of future tense
Their words are made for different air
The things they say there don’t make sense

In their land they know things unknown
They see things that here are out of sight
What’s living here over there is bone
Beyond the borderland of night

And yet, each day, despite all pains
They invade, and drag us there in chains
